NEW ZEALAND LAW AWARDS
Positive recognition from clients is a critical factor when measuring Kiely Thompson Caisley’s success as a law firm. In this regard, 2006 has proved to be another successful year for the firm upon receiving three awards at the New Zealand Law Awards 2006.
The three awards were:
Employment Law Award (also previously awarded to the firm in 2005)
Specialist/ Boutique Law Firm Award
Litigation and Dispute Resolution Award.

The Employment Law Award is of particular importance to Kiely Thompson Caisley, acknowledging excellence in our key area of business. In particular, this award recognises Kiely Thompson Caisley’s status as a leading employment law firm taking account of the statutory focus and development of the employment relationship as encapsulated in New Zealand employment Law.
The New Zealand Law Awards first started in 2005. The awards are based upon specific client feedback which rates a firm on each of the following categories:
Commerciality of advice
Overall cost/ value for money
Degree to which optimal outcomes were achieved
The firm’s understanding of the client’s business/industry/sector
The firm’s lawyers expertise in specialist areas
Experience and judgement of the firm’s lawyers.
Overall 2000 participants took part in the awards ratings this year. As quoted in NZLawyer, 17 November 2006, Kiely Thompson Caisley clients said that the firm had an”exceptional understanding of the law and its application” with clients appreciating the firm’s commitment to sharing legal developments via their regular lecture series”.
